It’s a half-laugh. Some of it is a bit too slapstick to be funny. As always, watch if you want.
I’ve seemed to be having a lot of runtime issues lately. That’s a definite problem here. The idea of this isn’t bad. I didn’t hate it. And I don’t love, but it could have been better. Just off the top of my dome, I’m recalling Anna (2019), Red Sparrow (2018), Hanna (2011), Close (2019), and Atomic Blonde (2017). This could’ve fallen in the middle for me. No, it’s still there because I hated Red Sparrow. And I had to watch Atomic Blonde twice to appreciate it. Though Atomic Blonde is probably a better experience, I’d watch Rhythm section again before I watched the two aforementioned again.
A Serial Killer’s Guide To Life 2019
If you like Netflix’s The End of the F-ing World, you’d appreciate this.
The acting is a bit… it’s a bit of something. The story has a bit a heart and it’s a pleasant watch.
It’s actually better than I expected it to be. I wouldn’t call it good, though. But, I do like nice kill scenes.
This movie makes me think a couple of things. Nothing really worth sharing, though this is the last thing I would’ve wanted to associate John Lithgow with. It’s interesting, but nowhere near Truth (2015) or Spotlight (2015). I do appreciate how they choice to navigate the story.
I so want to spoil this for anyone that hasn’t watched this. I won’t and I’m holding the feeling tightly. If you have seen this, answer me this. If I were her parent, would I be wrong in taking a tire iron to her behind? I’ve learned not to expect much from Blumhouse. Now, I know they make me want to commit murder to fictitious characters.
