But throws a temper tantrum when I do one stupid thing as a joke.” The demon is finally finished, breathing a little heavily.

Crowley... I knew we haven't spoke at all in the last 6000 years. Not including the dagger thing, and the escape from hell. I just need to say... I'm sorry. Many deserved the fall. You didn't. I have no excuse.

Crowley stared unspeaking. Several slow blinks later he looked down at his hands. His jaw visibly works, as if a thousand words are all fighting to come out at once. Hands fidgeting, the demon does not speak for a long time.

When he finally looks up, his expression is unreadable. “Why?” he asked finally. “One time, half the host of angels fell. Never again, no matter what they did. Why that time?”
