Insurrection Chapter 7: The Infiltration

What happened to the Yiga after Master Kohga's untimely demise? A successor, trained in the art of his magics, rose and took their place at a time of great uncertainty. With their former Master gone, and Calamity Ganon sealed away, the Yiga's new leader has their work cut out for them. Will they be able to restore the clan to its previous strength and beyond?

Just where did this new leader come from?

Vaedra sized up a very large statue of the Goddess Hylia in front of her. This was easily the biggest one she had ever seen, and though it was impressive, she felt it didn’t hold a candle to the magnificence of the Seven Heroines monument from her home in the desert. Looking up from where she stood below on the platform, she could barely see the serenely closed eyes over the clasped hands the Goddess held across her robed abdomen.

What a folly it was, placing one’s faith in any deity. We should only believe in ourselves, she reflected.

This place would do. The Yiga could regroup here. They could properly mourn, heal, and then grow.

“Slane! Lenos!” she called. Her summons echoed off the vaulted ceilings of the long temple chamber. Two masked Yiga foot soldiers ran into the open room through the aged archway, perfectly in sync, and knelt before their leader at the base of the steps.

“Yes, Master.”

“You have done well to find this place. I think this is just what we need to move forward.”
