parts of episode 2 felt a bit rushed, which makes sense considering how much it has to balance - the gameboard, the metagame, all while making room for the central characters (the culprit + rosa & maria). i was a bit let down by shannon and beatrice’s confrontation, as well as the omission of beatrice’s conversation with battler about keeping her promises. considering how significant that exchange is on a broader scale - alongside other subtle aspects of beato’s character - it's a notable absence. i’m not sure how this will be addressed in later episodes. i still have some reservations about the music choices, but i preferred them here compared to the first episode (shoutout to worldenddominator). that said, i enjoyed it! the performances were great across the board, and the actress playing beato is spot-on, you can tell she’s having fun with her role!
