People who still want Harley Quinn to be with The Joker don’t actually care about Harley as a character cause her character arc is her being in a abusive relationship with The Joker and leaving him. Narratively you’re not suppose to like their relationship. Their relationship is canonically abusive cause of The Joker abusing Harley. Another part of Harley’s character arc is getting with Poison Ivy after leaving The Joker, becoming best friends and eventually a couple. Harley Quinn’s creators have even said Harley’s relationship with The Joker is abusive and she becomes a couple with Poison Ivy after leaving him.
Harley and The Joker haven’t been a couple in decades and yet people still want them together, it’s like they don’t read comics. Harley has grown a lot since leaving Joker. The Joker is Harley Quinn’s origin story not his love interest. Plus The Joker doesn’t need Harley he’s interesting in his own, same with Harley, she’s interesting on her own. Narratively and character wise you’re not suppose to like Harley and Joker’s relationship. Putting them back together would be regressive for Harley’s character, so stop wanting them to be together.
