We lost control again We lost control again We lost control Gotta find a way to make amends Rewrite the end Take back what time has stole

The Juggernauts
The Mechanoids are back even though they are somewhat nerfed here. Davros is very sly by changing his identity but still is an evil prick at heart. Mel gets a lot to do here, showing off her programming skills and also gets to kiss a lad. I’m unsure why the Doctor does some of his actions in this story but it’s fine I guess.
THE JUGGERNAUTS: PURGE (2016; Mastbooms)
Dive is supported at the Swedish gigs by The Juggernauts, an EBM project by Peter Mastbooms aka DJ Borg, Glenn Keteleer, and Kevin Strauwen. I saw them at Bodyfest in Stockholm in 2014; nothing that really blew me away, but pretty solid EBM all the same. When this post goes live, I’ll probably still be asleep after a late evening with loud Belgians, so I can’t say at the time of writing whether I liked it this time as well.
Peter was also in Vomito Negro for a few years, was an extra live member of The Klinik 2009-2014, and often works as a sound engineer for Belgian bands like Dive, Absolute Body Control, The Neon Judgement and such.
Hah, what about the Big Ones? ExR and Valvert?
gaaah Valvert is a big Nope Nope Nope for me? I totally get why other people are into it, it’s just that all the kinks it feeds are big Squicks for me. E/R is...not a squick, really, I just struggle to see how it would WORK (well, how it would work in a healthy way) beyond canonical Symbolic Pining and Etc. I mean, so much of what Grantaire sees in Enjolras is because of what he won’t see in himself? He’s drawn to Enjolras as intensely as he is specifically because he thinks Enjolras is an unreachable level of ideal. In a situation where Grantaire comes to have enough faith and motivation in himself to actually make that a potentially functional, mutual relationship, would he still feel that desperate attraction? Or would it change tone into the level of devoted friendship he feels for the rest of his friends? I really don’t know! But a Grantaire capable of actually engaging and sharing his feelings clearly with Enjolras would be someone so deeply different from the Grantaire in canon that it’s hard for me to envision how it would play out.
(As for things on Enjolras’ side, I mean-- I think any relationships’ odds with him improve dramatically if the other person is also Dating The Revolution,so.)
I guess it’s sort of a perpetually docked Ship, for me.
