Some Silent Spring Bucky AU tidbits:
-In his civilian life, Bucky is a mild-mannered if a bit eccentric professor of geology. At one point, Reed Richards and Victor von Doom were his students. His students think he's weird but lovable, and if the CIA or anyone else ever investigated him for terrorism, they'd be the first to defend him and insist he could never hurt a fly, that he probably spends his free time gardening and feeding the local stray cat colony. -As the Silent Spring, he found his first ally in Namor, with whom he frequently goes on missions with. Namor outfitted him with Atlantean tech. He also worked with Gwenny Lou Sabuki and Davey Mitchell in the beginning, but after Gwenny Lou dies in one of their attacks, Davey steps back from Bucky's more increasingly radical and dangerous missions. Although initially hesistant and critical of Bucky's outright terrorism, after Jim Hammond bores himself into the Nevada desert because he was leaking radiation, Toro Raymond joins Bucky. -Steve Rogers is eventually forced to retire because of his criticism of the US government's militaristic affairs overseas, and he ends up taking in a young Jack Monroe as his ward.
