16 and 21 for any 2 OCs of your choice!!
How does your character think whatever they're going through is going to end? (if they already survived, did things go as they once thought?)
Eidilh, once it become the Lamp-Lighter, just presumes that that's what life, or un-life, will be forever. As far as it's concerned, it will eternally be a barely existing being that tries to be as benevolent as it can. Before that, however, Eidilh went into the woods to meet the Lamp-Lighter, what she actually expected was to die there and be reunited with Deirdre in death. She never imagined she would win.
Six is optimistic and both deeply intelligent and deeply stupid. They thought it would be hard but they never really doubted that they'd win. I mean, waking up after being shot and getting to see your own grave must make you something and Six chose dangerous optimism and borderline arrogance.
Who does your character think about when they want to feel safe?
Eidilh mostly thought of her parents or Deirdre. Even if she never quite tell them the full truth, she knew that she could turn to them for help and protection for most things. Deidre helped her feel safe in those ways her parents couldn't. The Lamp-Lighter gets no such privileges, it only feels alone and nostalgic in the traditional sense when it thinks of its past. It doesn't need to feel safe anymore anyway, it exists beyond danger.
What Six doesn't realise is that Dusty never really had anyone to think of to feel safe most of the time either. But there are a few people that Dusty latched to, Dot and John were the big ones, even if she only saw Dot on occasion and John had been gone from their life for years. Six also has a few, Doc Mitchell is reliable and kind enough to make Six feel safe and so do the companions Six picked up along the way, Boone, Rex, Ed-e, Cass, Raul, all of them make Six feel safe. Six probably feels safer and like they have people looking out for them more than Dusty ever did.
