Dusty, Courier Six at the Mojave Express
Squeezing oc like a stress ball. Throwing oc at the wall like a tennis ball. Dribbling oc on the ground like a basket ball. Whacking oc with a club like golf ball. AND OTHER SUCH ACTIVIES THAT YOU CAN IMAGINE.

What does your character’s singing voice sound like?
Ruthie's singing voice is as heavily southern accented as her speaking voice. I don't think she's able to carry a tune all that well, she's too self-concious to not cause her voice to wobble and she also hasn't heard that much singing in her life. At least, she's not heard any singing she wanted to join in with.
What does your character's laugh sound like?
Ruthie's genuine laugh is a high, almost squeaky sound. The trouble is she doesn't remember the last time she did laugh with any joy. She can only remember the sound of her nervous, frightened laugh, a very different sound. Nobody in her family remembers it either. It might never have been heard before.

Fun OC yuri fact: despite All That, Steph is significantly more jealous than Rory and she Hates it so much.
No matter how much she knows that Rory is a terrible person, she still wants Rory to be her terrible person and it does terrify her that it could change and Rory could go be insane about someone else, someone better, someone who will be as devoted back.
Rory's got too much of a god complex to ever consider someone else a threat to her and Steph's relationship. No one else will ever be what she is to Steph. She'd also never even imagine imprinting on somebody else like she does Steph, she's too devoted to that girl regardless of how she does or doesn't respond.
Love characters with bad/complicated relationships to their fathers in fiction. Hate this in real life
Do you like horrendous family dynamics? Do you like women in unwinnable situations? Do you like cannibalism? Do you have Thoughts about the Southern Gothic and Slasher subgenres? Do you think about the implications of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) more than average?
If the answer is yes, bother me with questions about my OC, Ruthie Hewitt, today!
16 and 21 for any 2 OCs of your choice!!
How does your character think whatever they're going through is going to end? (if they already survived, did things go as they once thought?)
Eidilh, once it become the Lamp-Lighter, just presumes that that's what life, or un-life, will be forever. As far as it's concerned, it will eternally be a barely existing being that tries to be as benevolent as it can. Before that, however, Eidilh went into the woods to meet the Lamp-Lighter, what she actually expected was to die there and be reunited with Deirdre in death. She never imagined she would win.
Six is optimistic and both deeply intelligent and deeply stupid. They thought it would be hard but they never really doubted that they'd win. I mean, waking up after being shot and getting to see your own grave must make you something and Six chose dangerous optimism and borderline arrogance.
Who does your character think about when they want to feel safe?
Eidilh mostly thought of her parents or Deirdre. Even if she never quite tell them the full truth, she knew that she could turn to them for help and protection for most things. Deidre helped her feel safe in those ways her parents couldn't. The Lamp-Lighter gets no such privileges, it only feels alone and nostalgic in the traditional sense when it thinks of its past. It doesn't need to feel safe anymore anyway, it exists beyond danger.
What Six doesn't realise is that Dusty never really had anyone to think of to feel safe most of the time either. But there are a few people that Dusty latched to, Dot and John were the big ones, even if she only saw Dot on occasion and John had been gone from their life for years. Six also has a few, Doc Mitchell is reliable and kind enough to make Six feel safe and so do the companions Six picked up along the way, Boone, Rex, Ed-e, Cass, Raul, all of them make Six feel safe. Six probably feels safer and like they have people looking out for them more than Dusty ever did.

I need to write introductions for my OCs. Someone needs to remind (read: force) me to do that, preferably with an idea of who to start with.
Doomed siblings have me on a chokehold in a way no trope can ever achieve. Something so gut wrenchingly beautiful about two kids going through unimaginable trauma and coming out damaged forever. I always eat it up. Maybe they stay together and find solace only in each other, used and kicked out by society! Maybe they end up on opposite sides of the war! Maybe they end up betraying one another! Maybe one of them dies haunting the narrative forever! Maybe one of them destroys the world for the other! So many endless tragic possibilities!
