The Lease - Preview
As far as romance goes, you were doomed from the start.
You barely knew what love was- 50% of marriages end up in divorce and of the other half that managed to stay together, the majority only did so out of sheer laziness. You didn't believe in the idea that humans were meant to marry one person and spend the rest of their lives together.
Everyone eventually fell out of love and marriage was a legally binding trap under guise of a promise. You weren't ever going to be caught in that trap, you had seen the dark side of it too often.
Namjoon came out left field.
He was smart and funny and awkward and made you laugh. You weren't supposed to meet him, but you did. He surprised you in every way, especially when he told you he didn't ever want to get married.
