Healed by you
Pt.24
Sunday morning arrived with a slow, golden warmth that filled the entire bedroom. Knowing it was their last full day of freedom, neither Namjoon nor Y/N made any move to leave the comfort of the sheets. They spent the early hours just chilling in bed, tangled together in a lazy, peaceful haze. Their quiet conversations slowly melted into deep, breathless moments of affection as they made love, completely lost in the privacy of their own little world, away from the flashing cameras and heavy responsibilities waiting back in Seoul.
Eventually, hunger drove them out of bed. Namjoon threw on an oversized hoodie while Y/N wrapped herself in a cozy cardigan, and together they padded into the kitchen to make breakfast.
The kitchen was quickly filled with the rich aroma of brewing coffee, sizzling eggs, and toasted bread. Even cooking became a source of endless entertainment. Namjoon accidentally dropped an eggshell into the pan, causing Y/N to burst into a fit of giggles as he dramatically panicked, trying to rescue the breakfast with a pair of chopsticks. They sat by the large glass windows, eating and laughing together over his clumsy cooking antics, completely at peace.
After cleaning up the kitchen, Namjoon turned on his phone and connected it to a small bluetooth speaker. A soft, soulful jazz instrumental began to filter through the rustic cabin.
He turned to Y/N, extending a hand with a courtly, old-fashioned bow. "May I have this dance, beautiful?"
Y/N smiled brightly, placing her hand in his. Namjoon pulled her flush against his chest, wrapping one strong arm securely around her waist while she rested her head against his shoulder. They swayed slowly to the music in the middle of the living room, their movements gentle and perfectly synchronized.
As the music played, they moved to the plush sofa, wrapped in a large blanket to cuddle against the chill of the afternoon.
"I don't want this weekend to end," Y/N whispered softly, tracing the lines of his palm with her finger.
Namjoon leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to the crown of her head. "Me neither. But having these memories... it’s going to keep me going through the crazy weeks ahead. I love you so much, Y/N. Never forget that."
"I love you too, Joonie. More than anything," she replied, looking up to catch his warm, dimpled smile.
They spent a few more hours talking about their future, reaffirming their deep love for one another, before the ticking clock finally reminded them of reality. With bittersweet smiles, they officially began to pack their bags. Monday morning was waiting for them back in the city-Namjoon was launching straight into intense comeback promotions, and Y/N was facing a massive stack of cases at her law firm.
But as they locked the cabin door and walked back to the car hand-in-hand, they both knew that no matter how chaotic the real world got, they had a safe, unbreakable foundation in each other.
The drive back into Seoul felt vastly different from their departure. As the familiar glittering skyline of the city appeared on the horizon, the reality of the upcoming week began to settle over them. By the time they finally carried their bags across the threshold of their apartment, it was late, and both of them were physically exhausted from the travel.
Knowing how intense Monday morning would be, they quietly moved around the apartment, getting ready for the next day together.
Namjoon carefully pressed his suits for the upcoming press conferences, while Y/N organized her briefcase, double-checking that her legal briefs and notebooks for the law firm were perfectly in order. They moved in a synchronized, comfortable rhythm, occasionally exchanging soft smiles or gentle touches as they passed each other in the hallway.
After washing up, Y/N sat down on the edge of the mattress in her favorite oversized pajamas. She let out a tired sigh, her hair draped over her shoulders as she reached for a wooden brush.
Before she could lift her hand, Namjoon walked into the bedroom. He had already changed into his comfortable gray sweatpants. Seeing her look so drained, a soft smile lit up his face. He gently took the brush from her fingers.
"Let me," he murmured, his deep voice carrying a soothing, grounding warmth.
Namjoon sat down directly behind her on the bed. Gathering her hair in one large, careful hand, he began to brush it out with slow, rhythmic strokes. He was incredibly gentle, making sure not to tug on a single tangle, his fingers occasionally brushing against the sensitive skin of her neck.
The repetitive, rhythmic motion of the brush, combined with the steady warmth of Namjoon's body sitting right behind her, acted like a lullaby to Y/N's exhausted mind.
Slowly, her eyelids grew heavier and heavier. Her shoulders completely relaxed, and her head began to tilt backward, heavy with sleep.
Namjoon noticed the shift immediately. He let out a low, affectionate chuckle, setting the hairbrush down on the nightstand. Gently, he caught her shoulders and guided her body down onto the pillows, pulling the heavy duvet up over her chest to keep her warm. Y/N was already completely fast asleep, her breathing deep and even.
He leaned over, pressing one last, lingering kiss to her forehead. "Good luck tomorrow, my beautiful lawyer," he whispered into the dark room.
Climbing into bed beside her, Namjoon wrapped his long arm securely around her waist, pulling her back against his chest. Wrapped in each other's arms, they finally fell asleep, completely ready to face whatever the real world had waiting for them in the morning.
