Is there any decided-upon reason why Vernrot is the way it is lmao or is it just "Town's Haunted"

the town was always lowkey Haunted but for the most past the horrorterrors residing in the depths were dormant until the arrival of celise’s ancestor, The Abysseer

she travelled to vernrot to wake them up because Reasons that have been lost to time as no one actually documented her story. the only mentionings of The Abysseer is through the journals of The Luminous (lusien’s ancestor), who only knows of a mysterious ship passing the lighthouse and docking in the harbour one day, and then all hell breaking out the next

there was a grudge against The Abysseer that pursued for generations of the avalon bloodline, but it has long-died out and the original story has been completely forgotten by the time lusien inherited the lighthouse. he still owns the journals as they are a family heirloom, but he has no interest in reading them

Oh yeah I guess Lucy’s ancestor kinda counts as being disgraced? At least in Vernrot’s history

The Luminous was the one who first became aware of The Slumbering Ones being woken up by The Abysseer (Celise’s ancestor), and tried to warn the residents of the great evil that was beginning to plague the town. Unfortunately, he was dismissed as a lunatic (likely because the residents were already falling under the effects of the horrorterrors’ fuckery) and went from being the town’s guardian to completely shunned by everyone

To this day the residents are still somewhat wary of trolls belonging to the Avalon bloodline, but no one really recalls why

but lucy’s true ancestor is canade avalon, also known as The Luminous. he was the first ‘leader’ of vernrot harbour (less of a proper authority figure and more just the guy everyone turned to for advice cuz he’d lived there for Forever), and the original owner of the lighthouse. he was the one who first saw the eldritch nature of the town awaken thanks to the actions of The Abysseer (celise’s ancestor) and also his psiionics awakening at the same time, but the thought of such a thing happening sounded so farfetched to the townspeople that his warnings fell on deaf ears. slowly people began to lose faith in The Luminous, believing he was the one who had gone mad, unaware that they were the ones who had fallen under the spell of Those Who Slumber In The Deep...

The Day For Our Project..

Assalamualaikum dan hai. Ok sekarang saya nak bercerita tentang aktiviti semasa kami di sana. Ketika sampai di sana, kami telah disambut Puan Hajar. Kami telah diberi tahu serba sedikit mengenai tempat tersebut dan dibawa untuk melawat kawasan sekitar Rumah Seri Kenangan. Mula-mula kami dibawa ke bahagian klinik rawatan luar. Klinik tersebut juga mempunyai dua bahagian iaitu bahagian terapi carakerja dan fisioterapi. Seterusnya, kami sekumpulan dibawa ke bilik mayat untuk melihat sendiri keadaan di bilik mayat.  Puan Hajar bercerita serba sedikit perkara yang pernah berlaku di bilik mayat. Selepas itu, kami dibawa melawat ke tempat penginapan penghuni-penghuni disana. Kemudian, kami menjalankan beberapa aktiviti bersama penghuni disana. Antaranya, bermain “puzzle”, menari bersama mereka yang masih cergas dan berbual bersama mereka sambil makan makanan yang telah dibawa oleh kami. Pelbagai kisah kehidupan dan ragam dapat kami tonton dan dengari.Sesi aktiviti tamat pada pukul 12.30 tengah hari untuk memberi laluan kepada penghuni menikmati makan tengah hari yang telah disediakan di dewan makan mereka. Sesi seterusnya bermula setelah mereka selesai menikmati makan tengah hari. Pada asalnya aktiviti yang dirancangkan adalah untuk bermain “musical chair” tapi disebabkan faktor penghuni yang baru selesai makan maka aktiviti tersebut ditangguh bagi mengelakkan berlaku kecederaan. Aktiviti yang berlangsung hanyalah sambung kembali aktiviti berbual dan bercerita bersama penghuni saambil lagu dipasang. Pada waktu yang sama ada seorang penghuni bermain piano. Saya kagum dengan beliau kerana mempunyai bakat yang sedemikian. Keseluruhan aktiviti kami tamat pada 1.35 tengah hari. Sebelum pulang kami sempat bergambar bersama-sama dengan Puan Hajar sebagai tanda kenang-kenangan keemudian kami bertolak pulang ke Kolej.Gambar-gambar kami melakukan aktiviti dengan penghuni Rummah Seri Kenangan Cheras tidak dapat dikongsikan bagi menghormati privasi mereka.

Perjumpaan Di DK 3

Kami telah berbincang dan melampirkan tentatif terkini kepada Puan Fatin. Salah satu cadangan awal merupakan aktiviti gotong-royong bersama warga emas tetapi Puan Fatin mencadangkan supaya kami menukar kepada aktiviti berkebun. Kami bersetuju kerana aktiviti berkebun lebih seronok dan jarang dilakukan berbanding aktiviti bergotong royong. Hanya penghuni yang berkemampuan fizikal sahaja dicadangkan untuk mengikuti aktiviti ini. Bagi penghuni yang tidak berkemampuan, kami telah mencadangkan untuk melakukan aktiviti membuat puzzle. Puan Fatin telah meluluskan projek kami.Berikut merupakan tentatif yang terkini:

           8.00-8.30pagi:Minum Pagi

           8.30 - 10.00 pagi : Berkebun

           10.00 – 10.15 pagi : Berehat

           10.15 – 12.00 tgh hari : Sesi ramah mesra bersama warga emas. 

           12.00-1.30tgh hari: Makan tengah hari,  penutup ,dan bersurai.
