How I think everyone would smell in Fear and Hunger: Termina
Part 2: Samarie, Pav, Tanaka, Henryk, August, and Logic.
Logic's Call
yanno how in her party talks in the wooden world Marina says the rher sigil isn't supposed to send you to a parallel reality. i'm putting in my two cents about what this might mean
rher. mr moon. this chud's domain centers a LOT around the subconscious mind. as such i'd like to theorize that the usual application of the rher sigil is to connect to and percieve someone's thoughts. the person in the circle can connect to others or others can connect to them. something like that. whatever it is, i'd reckon it's got something to do with interpersonal mental connection.
so why do the sigils in Prehevil do That? well! going off of the hand imagery that appears in both the White Bunker and the wooden world, as well as the fact that the portion of the wooden world you see in the intro can be found in the overworld in the White Bunker (as well as more wood being the background in Logic's Phase 2!) i'd like to think that the wooden world is a manifestation of the mind of Logic.
While not fully operational, Logic is still conscious and is able to affect the world around her, or at least, people's perceptions of it (namely the visions of her former body scampering around.) essentially what i think is happening is that her thoughts are so powerful and concentrated that when the rher sigils attempt to draw a connection to someone's mind, they're forced to connect to hers. as she's just dreaming so damn hard with her godly power. something which supports this is the dialogue Olivia seems to have in all of the wooden world areas -
"I feel dizzy... This place... Do you think... No - it makes no sense... ... It's just that... There is this familiarity to all this... And I don't just mean that it's similar to that nightmare we all shared... I can't really put it into words... Just a feeling at the back of my head..."
fairly firm stuff there, in my opinion. i'd say it's not too big of a stretch that a world drawing at least partially from her sister's mind might be a little familiar?
this line of thinking also answers why Marina is confused about being on a different plane of existence - Logic is powerful enough to make her dreaming manifest far more vividly than an ordinary person could.
another thing i like to connect to this idea is how the Tunnel 7 telelectroscope appears in the wooden world. it's a big fleshy fish-looking thing with long artery things running through it. it seems to come to life after the telelectroscope is activated, pulsing in a mildly alarming manner. i have no grasp on the minutiae of its appearence. however, its general organic appearance is, i'd like to think, Logic percieving her own body as organic. the telelectroscopes are a part of the Logic's system, and its host, formerly human, is trying to mesh the concepts of her former body and her new, much larger one.
