So I’m imaging this like a regulus doesn’t die AU kinda and Evan is killed by moody, which is met by pure rage from reg who comes out of hiding and tries to kill moody, but he’s unsuccessful and put in askaban, but then breaks out like everyone else in 4 (I think I haven’t read the books in a while) and is still out for moody and has been planning this all that time in askaban. His plan goes good and he finally kills moody only to learn it’s actually barty in polyjuice. Like that’s so devastating
