Sent the monkey boy to Walmart tonight for one spool of plain blue thread. My exact words. “One spool of plain blue thread.” He comes back and hands me a pretty, soft periwinkle and says “there’s like SIXTEEN kinds of blue, but I thought you’d like this one, so I picked it.”

He’s … not wrong. I love the color. And the delivery was SO SWEET. So this year our bumpers are bright blue fabric with periwinkle stitching.
