To keep a close eye on Blaire he had taken her in himself, since her own remained a sealed crime scene for the following days. Her words didn’t pass him unnoticed when she accused him not to investigate by himself, despite the fact that Alex had spoken to his colleagues that night already to keep him updated on any evidence and suspects they’d be able to find. In a way he thought she was right about that he wasn’t doing enough.
Alex had offered her to stay for as long as she wanted. Eventually warned Blaire to be careful because he suspected the attacker might have acted out of jealousy due to the signs of how gruesome they’d acted. She refused to listen and left.
