The Third Pillar: Strength of chance. Within each cat is a secret, something beyond the body, mind, or spirit. Luck. No one can increase or decrease their own luck. It is a force beyond control. Unless you can gain the favor of Ladybugcharm. His favor is fleeting, much like a ladybug... almost random. Of the pillars, he is the most fickle.
Ladybugcharm was a red pointed tom.
The First Pillar: Strength of the mind. Broken down to your most basic form, you are a brain. Your brain is your tether to the earth. Keeping your mind active through crafts is encouraged, and gains you favor with the first pillar, known in life as Emperor Swiftspider. His shrines are found in most camps near the nursery.
Swiftspider was a gray tom.
Other Beasts
It's known that all cats (and cat-like creatures) can speak. It is unknown if prey animals, (besides hares) can. A few hares have been observed communicating with each other, but their language has yet to be understood. This would be like comparing German to Mandarin.
The occasional bobcat is the easiest to understand. Their language, minus a few uncommon words, are basically identical to that of a cat. Imagine the difference between British and American English.
Mountain lions, or pumas, or cougars, are a bit more challenging. Unless it was raised by or close to cats, mountain lions are very hard to understand. Their language is a lot more hissing and growling. Though to a cougar, the cat language is too soft and sounds more like a human's cries. Think what French is to Latin.
The Fourth Pillar: Strength of the spirit. It it the force driving them, it is the force of life itself. Doing good powers your spirit. Doing evil weakens it. Warden Nymphheart guards the spirits of cats, protecting them from the wrath of gods. Her shrine is located in the Moon Hollow. A beautiful pale flower sprouting from the central stone. She used to be the central pillar, but remains the strongest.
Nymphheart was a brown molly.
How many Clans are there?
The situation is this:
Pre-curses, three “clans.” The Summit Domain, the Pinecone Domain, and the Antler Dynasty. Summit breeds and farms snails, and creates dyes. Pinecone hunts large animals (with an uneasy alliance with a mountain lion) and creates pelts that are used for cloaks, boots, and shelter. Antler cooks and farms plants.
The dynasty is, like it implies, led by an emperor/empress, the firstborn of the previous leader. The domains are led by wardens.
Post-curses, each of the clans split up. Antler is split into two factions, SnowyClan (led by the last deputy) and AntlerClan (still led by the bloodline.) Pinecone Domain has become SapClan, much smaller and unable to pull off large hunts anymore. Much more reliant on the other clans. Summit, of course, becomes the much beloved BugClan <3
The Second Pillar: Strength of the body. The mind can only do so much on its own, it needs force to back it up. This is where the second pillar comes in, that of the physical form. It is the beating heart, literally and figuratively. Warden Fritillarybite, though in life he fought unfairly, gives his favor to those who do fight fairly now. Acts of physical strength, no matter how small, keep Fritillarybite alive.

The Clans of the Mountain, the Pinecone Domain, the Summit Domain, and the Antler Dynasty, lived together under the eyes of StarClan. But they did not live in peace.
After one too many fights broke out at the gatherings, StarClan ordered all Clans to stop attending the gatherings, and set curses upon each Clan. Worst of all, StarClan rescinded their power from the Sky Stone. Alone, and without StarClan’s guidance, the Clans fell apart…

Ranks (part 3)
Druids, vessels for the prophets, also responsible for the health and safety of the clan. They have a special part to play as part of the leader's close advisors.
The Mountain Law states: Druids must treat all they encounter, friend or foe. Druids must not have kits. Druids who break this will be punished by StarClan in their own time.
