It is a song about love, loss, forgiveness and reconciliation! it was written during singer songwriter Rob's time in New York- staring out at a picturesque Manhattan view skyline, thinking of past mistakes, regrets and hopes for a better future!
Singer songwriter, guitarist and pianist Rob Gaylard is the creative vision behind “The Nomadic” which plays catchy tunes influenced by 90s Britpop, alt/ country, folk and contemporary Americana rock.
Rob is an Aussie who grew up as a nomad in Australia, Burma, Singapore, the Solomon Islands and the UK. As an adult, Rob has lived and worked with the United Nations, national governments, and NGOs in Kenya, Somalia, the Sudan, Afghanistan, Indonesia and Israel/ Palestine. Rob moved to New York in 2012, and, driven by the cities’ can-do attitude and creative spirit, started the Nomadic in 2014/15. The Group’s first album “My Mind is Racing” was released in January 2022, to critical acclaim. Rob moved back to Australia in February 2022, and teamed up with producer Dan Frizza (Powerfinger, the Waifs, the Whitlams) to record “New Horizons” between September and December 2022. New Horizons will be released in June 2024, with initial single releases “Treading Water”, “All Changed”, “First Light” and Don’t Give up on your dreams.” The Nomadic supports issues of social action and innovation, human rights, support for minorities, doing the next right thing and to follow your dreams and passions.
