Two things. First, do you think Bellamy is aware that Clarke is in love with him yet? Second, I'm wondering if part of the reason he rejected Clarke's intimacy with the handle nuzzle was because he thinks he's only a rebound from [L/xa].
I don’t think he’s aware that Clarke is in love with him, no. I think he believes she cares for him. I think he believes she needs him. Believes in. Trusts. All of that. But just like half the fandom, he believes it’s platonic. He’s her partner. They save the world together. They’re together to take care of their people.
Of course, he’s not seeing what we see. And he’s looking at it through the lens of a person who doesn’t believe he really is worth that kind of devotion. He thinks Clarke is busy thinking other thoughts and having other goals and it’s the mission again and yeah, she loves someone else, right? Right? Except, she’s said it multiple times, she loved Lxa. And she did. But she’s gone and life moves on. He loved Gina too. Those are past and this is present.
Honestly, I think it was all too much. He was thrown by the intensity and intimacy of it. The possibility of it.The questions of it. The danger of it.The feelings of it. Maybe he thinks it doesn’t mean as much to her as it does to him. Maybe he’s just afraid of opening up that door.
The Nuzzle
I think what's so great about skam is that like fanfiction has forever described the nuzzle in great detail but then evak comes along and suddenly the nuzzle game is so strong and so real and such a thing like omg I'm seeing this cute ass shit I've only read about but now I'm like SEEING it you know?and not just neck nuzzle no we get a whole new level of nuzzle. Nose nuzzle. Forehead nuzzle. So much fucking nuzzle I'm gonna die. Thanks skam.
