"Make Believe" was the first track I had heard from the up and coming alternative indie rock band, The Offset, but it was love at first listen. While the band has been influenced by the likes of Incubus, Mute Math, Dredg, and The Foo Fighters, The Offset conveys a progressive and completely distinct sound. With a refreshing blend of forthright lyrical clarity and uplifting riffs, "Make Believe" is one of those catchy tunes that you will be singing in your head for weeks.
Currently based in Washington, DC, The Offset consists of guitarist and vocalist
Mike Richards, guitarist and back up vocalist
Burd Boonyoo, bassist
Jonny Franks, and drummer
Ken Yang. The band is already off to a great start in their music career, having performed with the legendary group, The Wailers, Bob Marley’s former back up band.
I'm expecting more great tracks from The Offest when they debut their first EP later this month. This is definitely band you’ll want to keep on your radar, so stay up to date with the latest on Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter.
