"Cloud?" came the man's voice, rather quietly as he was peeking in during the night. Of course, he knew that he could just walk in, but, he didn't want to wake him if his friend was sleeping. He doubted it though - neither of them were that great with sleeping it seemed, which was a shame, because sleep was nice.

Not really wanting to disrupt him, Zack moved to quietly step inside, and promptly came to sit with his back against the side of Cloud's bed on the floor, crossing his legs. A part of him had been tempted to just climb onto the bed with him and cuddle him like he had when they were on the run but, Zack didn't want to be too overbearing with his behaviour.

He leaned his head back and rested it on the edge of the bed, just looking at the blond. He had no excuse for being in there, really. He just missed him, and wanted to be around him. His own room was lonely late at night.

Cloud definitely didn't sleep as well as he used to. When they'd first come to Midgar, they'd shared a bed for a while until they were able to get separate apartments. They were wall-to-wall neighbours, but Cloud found that he often missed Zack's comforting and solid presence in bed with him...

Honestly, he had considered many times to sneak into Zack's room at night, but he had always decided against it. So it definitely came as a surprise when Zack snuck into his room.

"Zack..." he murmured softly as the other sat down on the floor. He wanted to ask him to come share the bed, but that would probably be too much... Instead he sat up and slid down next to Zack on the floor, taking the blanket with him. "... Can't sleep either?"
