I posted my first fic (in about two decades) almost exactly a year ago. And today I broke 100,000 words posted on AO3 (I know it's not much, but I write one shots lol).

I am so thrilled to have found writing again, even at my big age. It has opened doors for me in fandom that I have not been through for a very long time and I've made some great friends.

Thank you to everyone who has bothered to look at anything I've written and especially to those who take the time to kudos and comment.

Thank you to the BG3 fandom for welcoming me and the TPK fandom for following me into the madness that is fic writing.

writing a smutty fic for tpk. -premise: only one bed -outline: they fuck nasty -idea for length: 1-2k words

reality: -only one bed! -took almost 3k words to get to the part where they wake up in a compromising position in the middle of the night. -plot tried to intrude. managed to oust it -wrote some fucking banger lines ("Look at me and tell me you need me." He didn't let her look away from him; even paused the movement of his hips until she was a writhing mess beneath him.) -almost 6k words in and they're just now getting to the actual sex.

The fight was very inspiring so here is my first attempt at making an animatic! I was 2 weeks into making this when new character art was released, so some designs may not match perfectly; but here is 3 weeks of drawing and half a day of editing in one 50-second video. Apologies in advance for bringing back up any trauma from these episodes but if I had to go through it to find the audio clips so do you :D

It is past 4:30am and I have too many things jolting around in my brain to go to sleep so, here are my thoughts about The Players Keep Episode 94, S.O.S (Spoilers Ahead!!)

What an incredible episode. Straight to top 5. The emotional rollercoaster had me all over the place. I went from crying to laughing to ugly crying to being shocked to being heartbroken and then happy again. The skill these actors have is truly unparalleled and it’s truly a privilege to witness.

Again, it’s past 4am here so I will share my thoughts on Siggy/Toni/Willow/Cricket individually tomorrow but in the meantime… on Crillow:

I wrote a whole 500 word paragraph and it got deleted so I’ll try again lol.

What I love most about Crillow is how unexpected it all was. I started lowkey shipping them very early on (episode 19, the hug!). But I never could have expected this, and neither did the players, which is why it works so well. It’s not a love “written in the stars”, it’s not destiny or fate, it kinda just happened and took everyone by surprise. Over 200/300 hours and 94 episodes they went from convenient assistance, to people that believed in each other, that respected each other, that then trusted each other, that cared, and then loved. It felt so natural, so organic. I adore them. The way they balance each other, and are each other’s safe space to lean on and support when needed. It’s fucking beautiful.

Now that the eloquent stuff is out of the way, let me go back to keyboard smashing

OH MY FREAKING GOD THIS KISS. The first from Cricket before he does something potentially self sacrificing (Cricket you idiot I love you) and he wants to make sure he gets to express his love to Willow before he goes for it, just in case? I have no words.

AND ANOTHER ONE? and Cricket’s initial recoil and heartbreak as he sees what his skin is doing to Willow and seeing Willow fully embrace that, embrace him, without reservation… wrecked me.

And then the regeneration spell happening completely instinctively from all the love and care she feels for him, my goodness. Pete’s description of his skin too, gorgeous. The I love you… as soon as the music stopped I knew we were gonna hear it and it destroyed me in the best way.

“Every second of the remainder of his life is hers”??? I will need 10/15 business days to recover 🫡

So to fill the space of my Starlost Stormridden weekly drought I have found a new dnd podcast to listen to and let me sayeth

The Player’s Keep is keeping me from tpking myself /j

But for real it’s so good, I’ve seen slight spoilers through their TikTok clips and they have been the main thing keeping me catching up. I’m on episode 20 at the moment and I know thing will start going down at some point but I don’t want to skip the important exposition earlier episodes give.

So I’m feeling impatient. Not at TPK but at my own inability to absorb information instantaneously.
