Fireworks day 1 of 4, 2024

So the people around me started shooting off fireworks at 6pm, three hours before sunset, yesterday. They only stopped at midnight because it started to rain very heavily.

There will be more tonight, tomorrow, and most likely Saturday, with a non-zero chance of Sunday, as well.

I did find a way to cope with last night, though. I wrote a 1,000 word essay on why I am traumatized and abused by fireworks in less than an hour. I am thinking of adding to it tonight, because I mostly focused on the trauma / abuse connection, and only a few of my personal reasons.

Would anyone be interested?
