One of the things that get thrown around about Dany stans that we are angry and were robbed of a happy ending. Which is silly because I like Dany but I’m not much of a stan and I didn’t mind Dany going dark it was how the writers did it. I much rather had Dany be an egotistical asshole who caused her own undoing than be a mad dog that needs to be put down. That is the difference!

Wait, what's this about Hiccup being a "Queenslayer?"

This is a MAJOR spoiler, of course...

It was seconds before he fell unconscious, as he hurtled into the fiery remains of the Green Death, that his late grandfather's final words returned to him:

…Hiccup...You are... the Queenslayer...

The memory haunted him in the weeks of his recovery. How had his grandfather known?  His soothsaying practices were a joke, if he recalled correctly.  He chalked it up to a lucky, dying ramble.

But years later Hiccup faced another queen, one parading around as a human. At first he adored the woman, with her pro-dragon agenda and animalistic empathy, even after she was later revealed as his mother. It was a hard pill to swallow, but harder still was her vigilante lifestyle.

As Hiccup ingrained himself in her lifestyle, her extremist ways grew more troubling.  Blowing up dragon barns, slaying riders atop their dragons, doing everything in her power to separate man and dragon. The dragons under her "protection" grew loyal, dangerous, willing to do anything she asked, and Hiccup saw the pattern emerge again.

So in another fiery showdown, he battled it out in the skies against a new Queen, and won.

That's how Stoick the Vast found his son and wife.  One dead on the sands of a quiet beach, and the other collapsed against the back of a strange, washed-up, monstrous Throne, his head in his hands.
