Ofc the most recent book with a sex scene you've read was a translated narrative by a classic composer. That's entirely in character for you to a ridiculous degree.

In my defense of reading three Mozart biographies in a row, I wasn't looking for Mozart's canonically written smut. But yes, for me to lose my streak of "not reading sex scenes in a book," it's painfully in character to lose it to Mozzy. Like I do not flanderize myself. I am my own flanderization.

I don't know if I'll ever write this, but I've been toying with the idea of a Danny Phantom fic where Danny ends up in a fantasy world through some unknown means, and he gets picked up by a trio of knights who take him in and try to help him get back home.

The complication is that they don't speak English, and Danny can't actually understand what they're saying and vice versa. Still, they work together, despite the language barrier, to get out of the magical wilderness (Danny absolutely helps them fight a dragon and/or other magical creatures, using his powers to protect the knights, and to his surprise they fight to protect him and rescue him from danger just as often) and back to the fantasy city. There, the knights take Danny to a temple that seems to be devoted to the worship of a familiar ghostly figure.

(I hadn't decided if it was Clockwork or Danny himself as Ghost King that was being worshipped there. Either way the plot twist was that Danny was actually in the distant future, where the bond between the Ghost Zone and the living world had strengthened to the point that magic had returned to the living world. Clockwork or Future Ghost King Danny would then appear to Danny and help return him home after he has a chance to say goodbye to his knight friends, who are basically knights sworn to the service of Clockwork/Ghost King Danny, whichever it is, and they knew all along who Danny really was)

Danny returns home having had a relatively calm and peaceful adventure for once, and with fond memories of his new friends who he knows he'll meet again someday.

ok, just to clarify, that in my bioethics class we (obviously) revisited cases of my own country, apart from learning all the rules and how very much the majotiy of experiments related to science lack a lot of informed consent, the latter being the one we focused on the most, learning how to do a proper document and to explain it to people, from kids to older adults.

Cases were mostly just mentioned (the Standford Experiment, for example), everything that happened in WW2

But the one we studied and i cried in rage when learning about it?

The Tuskegee Syphilis Study

We watched a movie about it, Miss Ever's Boys and had to make a essay about it.

I dont remember feeing so much disgust towards the USA as much as i felt reading everything about that "study" after i watched the movie.

I recommend anyone in the science field to read or watch about that study. It's a slap on the face, and a way to show how much bioethics matter in a field that keeps teaching that we should disengage from the living beings, even when we have "bio" in our names

AHHHH!!! That makes me SO happy!! The genrex fandom is not very big and through writing fic I'm really happy to be brining back or attracting more people to gen rex. I'm doing my part!!!

Who is this Mordecai cat guy you've been posting about?

Ok Mordecai is one of the characters from a webcomic called Lackadaisy, written by the beautiful human being known as Tracy J Butler! She's been writing it since 2006, and it's now getting an animation on YouTube! You can watch the pilot here!

It's all set in 1927 St. Louis Missouri, and it's about bootleggers running their speakeasys during prohibition. Mordecai used to work for the Lackadaisy group, but once the head runner of the organization was murdered (we don't know who did it), he leaves, and joins the opposing gang, Marigold. He's such a fun character, and I highly recommend looking into it!!
