As Above, So Below
reverend timothy, an old friend of twice born librarian dioscur, tries to convince him to go inside after hours of watching the seagulls fly on a windy winter's day. old man has his head in the skies it seems…
i should totally draw/write some kind of character introduction sheet. this character turned out pretty fun to think about
Anthony Storey - The Rector - Marion Boyars - 1970 (jacket design by Wendy Coates-Smith)
“Good morning Rector! Lovely sermon, for length.”

Our apologies, and an announcement
We apologise that friends away and abroad have been left in the dark w/r/t parish events, and particularly as Advent is imminently upon us. It has however been all that we can do to manage the parish mag. and localnet site for the parish and District.
In that context, Mr Kellow is acting to assist Mr Viney in churchwardenly duties, vice His Grace. Fr Campion is being assisted by the Dean and the Archdeacon.
Which leads to the announcement which explains the current emergency. Your prayers are solicited for the Rector, who is for the moment home from hospital (HG has insisted he stop at Wolfdown House) but who continues to undergo tests regarding his recent collapse. It is very much hoped that any neurological cause may be excluded, or any infirmity which should be an impediment to ministry. Rector continues to want to use a stick or a Zimmer frame at present.
Your prayers are further solicited for HG the duke of Taunton, who in the midst of these concerns suffered a heart attack and has undergone a treble coronary artery bypass graft. He is out of hospital and recovering at Wolfdown House.
Notwithstanding these concerns and heavy blows, we should wish to assure friends of the parish and community that we are carrying on: Divine Service, the choirs, Christmas preparations, the panto, jollifications down the pubs, and all. We simply and regrettably haven’t the time or the staff to convey these news just now. We are obliged for the interest, goodwill, and concern of our friends all the same.
...that good Miss Wodehouse was not polemical. She had "her own opinions," but few people knew much about them.
