AS AN ABUSED CHILD, SHE ONCE vowed to herself that she'd never allow herself to be victimized again. this created a toxic level of ambition within her that consumed her life, and led her to be willing to do anything to gain power; all so she would never be weak again. she accomplished plenty on her own, but was never able to reach that final level. it was when she discovered the existence of demons, and the ability to make deals with them that things truly changed. she made a deal with one, and was mayor within a couple months. the catch: she agreed to supply the demon she made a deal with with as many human souls as they wanted. they show up at random, appear only to her, and let her know when they want another soul. logistics wise, it's rather easy. given her power, it's not difficult to make someone disappear and cover her tracks. but it's of course a major mental strain, leaving her usually snippy and on edge, never sure when the demon will appear next.
