For my senior recital, I think I am doing this version of Dexter Gordon's "Cheese Cake."

As you'll hear, there are so many ridiculously great things going on. Even a John Coltrane quote. Dexter was and is the man. Johnny Griffin takes the second solo and takes part of the cake home. Sheesh. What a band. George Gables on piano (ridiculous comping!), Rufus Reid on bass (might as well be Jesus), and Eddie Gladden on drums.
