There’s a small knock on the door to Casey’s room. It opens slowly and Kate pokes her head in, not fully entering.
“Uhm, Casey? Is it okay if I come in?”
( @jinxedbooks )
Casey looked up toward Kate almost before she opened the door, despite the fact she had bandages over her eyes
"Kate, hi! Of course, come in"
Casey's hair was tied up and eye tattoos could be seen on the back of their hands now that they didn't have fingerless gloves covering them.
Kate wasn’t sure how much time had passed since it all started. She wasn’t sure how many turns she had taken without properly thinking. At one point she had started taking out books from the familiar shelves, only to be met with blank pages.
Eventually, at one of the turns, there seemed to be some light. At first she thought it would be another dead-end, only to see a park. She went through the… door? Though it wasn’t a door. Finding herself next to a bench. Whatever she had come out from, no longer behind her.
( @jinxedbooks )
Casey was sitting on a bench in the park, with her dog by their side. She'd been getting used to walking outside on her, partially, own ever since she got out of the hospital, and spending time sitting in the park became a part of their new routine.
Casey Knew before they heard Kate appear next to the bench she was sitting on, and turned their head to face where she was.
"Kate?"
