In 1964, the sweet-ass SR-71 flew its first test flight in California.  You've probably heard about this airplane; it still holds the record for the fastest air-breathing piloted aircraft.  It took part in more insanely dangerous spy missions than you care to think about.  And just look at this fuckin' thing.

So here it is! The Sled (Belchonok i sanki) is a 4 minutes animated short directed by me, produced by Soyuzmultfilm. Enormous thank you goes to Chenghua Yang and Nadya Mira as well as many other people who helped. Hopefully it’ll be online after travelling all the fancy kids festivals haha.

The film is a part of a compilation called Vesyolaya karussel (Весёлая карусель). It’s been produced since 1969 in Russia and I watched it a lot when I was a kid. So for me it had a symbolical meaning to make a film that now stays next to my childhood memories.
