It's wild to hear Mr. Pixl "made a whole-ass copper aging machine" Riffs say "yeah I'm not really a technical player." I am aware this is very early, but still!

By extension I would also like to recommend a podcast that he does with Pixlriffs, The Spawn Chunks - you can find it just by searching "the spawn chunks podcast". They talk about updates, things in the game, etc.

Me: ooh, yeah, the stripped log has all those nice bluegreen flecks in it, this is gonna be amazing with warped--
Pix: check out all that pink, this is going to go wonderfully with cherry wood.
Me: what. What are you seeing there.
Pix: *shows a color picker*
Me: that's brown. And it's in the growth rings. That doesn't count. No other wood type gets people excited about what the growth rings match with.
Joel Duggan: yeah, those pink accents will go great with all these other blocks--

I will admit that I don't really have an opinion about the minecraft movie, but i would encourage everyone to listen to this week's episode of the spawn chunks podcast (ep. 314) for in depth analysis of the minecraft community's opinion on it
Started listening to The Spawn Chunks from the start and like. Wow, did I forget how recently some things were added-
I finally sprung for a Patreon membership to The Spawn Chunks.
It's my favourite podcast (Imp & Skizz are a relatively close second) and it's fantastic being able to catch up on the pre-show Render Distance and post-show chats, as well as the monthly and quarterly hangouts.
I've also now joined the Discord, but I'm just going to lurk there for a bit. It always feels a bit weird going into a new server and being all "Hi!" right off the bat. I prefer to slip in quietly and get the lie of the land first.
