If your name was "Kelvin" that's really the only type of shit you could do with your life, invent a new kind of temperature. Same with "voltage", it just makes sense, a single lightning bolt equals one volt. They even rhyme with each other. It kind of feels like lazy writing tbh. Like how a "decibel" is ten bells, like an audible chime. "Is it passed the expiration date?" "No its fine, its pasteurized". Barack Obama, war barracks. "Trumped up" charges. The list goes on.
