Oooh hoo hoo this ending is chilling.
I wish I had been apart of the fandom when it first aired, because I can only imagine how people exploded at the end of this episode.
For Lloyd's last coherent thoughts to be filled with Harumi as she stalks toward him, singing the song I can only assume haunts his nightmares- gosh, how horrifying.
And those nightmares, the ones that alternate between heartbreak as she betrays him, to terror as she raises his father from the dead, to grief as he watches her die- how is he supposed to tell what's real or not anymore? Yes, people come back from the dead all the time in Ninjago, but usually it doesn't take quite so long and Harumi, he watched Harumi die, he knows there is no way she could've made it (but he never saw the body...)
And now Lloyd is blaming himself because maybe if he had found her, if he'd been the one to rescue her, maybe she wouldn't be trying to tear apart Ninjago again, maybe he could've helped her heal…
Once again, everything is his fault.
