Oh my GODDDDD dbsbsbsbsb!!

I thought the episode was super cool and it was very nice to see Colin Ritman again hehe..

Anyways but I wonder what caused Colin to have the initial breakdown because I think it's mentioned he has one before and after the Thronglets.

I think (?) Bandersnatch originally takes place in like the 80s,,so I do wonder..of course in this timeline, this is one where either 1: Stefan never goes to trip drugs with Colin or 2: Stefan picks himself to jump instead of Colin.

Perhaps his orginal breakdown was caused by the fact that he feels responsible for Stefan's death perhaps? Idk Colin is a hard character to read.

But also!! I think it's very...strange, in a way that he *does* take medication. Nothing wrong with that of course, but he's also the one while him and Stefan are tripping that says the government puts drugs in your food & pays people to be your family and stuff so you think he would also believe that medication is used to control people. Maybe he's lost this part of himself? Or if this is a timeline where Stefan dies, maybe he does it for him? Or if this isn't, maybe he saw Stefan's worsening mental health and realized that medication could help him as well. Especially if this happens when Colin goes over to Stefan's after he kills his dad.

Or maybe, he's just addicted to pills now instead of cigarettes since we don't see him smoke.

Maybe his 2nd breakdown/going off the grid was caused because when he was tripping on acid, he was understanding the Thronglets and he was interrupting their message less so as their actual message (if there were ever a real message..) and more so just reiterations of his subconcious thoughts about his guilt for Stefan's death or the fact he didn't do enough to help him. Again, Colin is a hard character to read for me personally so I don't know if that's in character for him but..still.

Maybe he originally created the Thronglets for his daughter originally or something since it does look like a very cutesy game and idk I like the idea of that. Speaking of I'm suprised we don't hear any mention of Kitty or Pearl. I know he had very limited screentime but still.

Idk..I know this was a lot of word vomit but this is another look into the world of Colin Ritman we've had in like 6 years and a few months so I guess I have a lot more to say than I figured lol.
