Did a character redesign of Valerie, the girl who became the new world
I've really been needing to practice backgrounds alfhakfal but I'm pretty pleased with this,
reference pic
This was supposed to be a sketch of Peter Pensworth before he gets isikai'd (I named the file "pre pensworth") but I just didn't like the way it turned out. He looks oddly like Ryphl
I did a new expression meme for Ryphl cause I wasn't super happy with the last one
sloppy colored version below the cut
Today I offer you: a bunch of sketchy concept drawings of Traivelt dwarves Tomorrow? who knows
For the WIP ask game, what about Journals or Peter Pensworth?
I awoke in the afternoon, a clear sky above me, in the middle of an empty field, the yellow grass swaying gently in the hot breeze. I saw that to the southeast, the land sloped downward towards a forest, while in the west, a hill obscured my view. I pulled myself up from the ground, every bone inside me aching, and walked up the hill to find my bearings. I was sure a road, a gas station —something— must be nearby, but at the crest of the hill, I realized I was completely lost. The land stretched for miles, rolling hills of grass ready to be cut for hay, with not a single building in site. Where was I?
That file is kind of a catch all for everything pertaining to Peter Pensworth's personal story, or worldbuilding stuff that he documents.
This snippet is from a WIP scene where Peter first finds himself in the Traivelt and still doesn't realize exactly how far from home he is.
I'm still working on how exactly he gets transported, so this scene might be written a little differently later on, but most of it should stay the same, I like the vibes.
Thanks for the ask!
The Cobbler and his shadow?
Once upon a time, in a quiet riverside town, there lived a cobbler and his little daughter. They lived in the second story of a shop that had painted words on the front window that read "Fphimbrick's Shoes".
and
"She had the most beautiful raven hair you know,"
@enjoliquej and @blue-haired-rock also asked about this one XD I'll have to combine it all into one answer because the document is literally that empty.
I actually have near to nothing written about this story, and if I ever write it, it'll probably be very different. But the this was back when I was still developing Nero as the third matter form in the Traivelt, and the idea of the Shade.
In the Traivelt, when you die, you split into three different part. Your body decomposes, your Aura (spirit, mind) falls asleep into a dream, and your Shade (shadow, and ability to move) wanders the depths of the world repeating the motions from life that it remembers.
the original idea was about a cobbler who losses his daughter to something like a house fire or a "The Plague" type illness, but either way, he'd already lost his wife a long time ago, so his daughter is the only person he has left, and he decides that he can't let this slide and goes on a journey into essentially the underworld to try and find her Shade and wake her up.
Unfortunately it was supposed to have a sad ending, and he never finds her, but instead end up going mad :(
Thanks for the ask!
Have you heard the Legend of King Gehros?
