I must've seen "the two aces" ep of Ted Lasso a dozen times...how am I just now realizing that Roy Kent yelling "SILENCE!" During the bit where everyone is naming a Scorsese movie an answer to the question AND a command?? Brett Goldstein just doesn't miss.

Now that we know that Colin’s gay, we have to look back at The Two Aces and the curse-breaking. They had to bring something important to them personally and what did Colin bring?

The keys to the Lamborghini.

We could think that because he’s in the closet it could very well be like Jamie’s shoes. It brings him focus & comfort. The camouflage of the car has protected him but along the way, he lost his way. Like he bullied Nate so that he himself wouldn’t be bullied.

And sure, it may be a misdirect. He can’t really show up at the Club with anything that might signal his queerness, so the car is a stereotypical straight bro thing. His way of telling others, “Nothing to see here, move along…”

Even if the car really doesn’t agree with him. It’s actually hilarious how the show has been hinting ever since the start at Colin’s if not homosexuality, his pretense by his inability to drive the car. Even now with a few years under his belt, he still can’t handle it, as seen by the mishap at Michal’s.

We’ve seen Colin change & grow over the course of the show. It makes me eager to see his full potential now that it seems the show will interrogate being gay in sports through him.

Any time VNA Ace uses “Semg” as an insult I can only help but wish Ace’s character development in any medium had seen her evolve it a more overtly Lister-esque figure tbh.

isaac: couple weeks.

sam: six months.

roy: jury’s still out.

jamie: see, coach? be myself? what kind of garbage advice is that? i hope you’re not telling henry that crap.

jamie: hey dani, did you hear about the skeleton who didn’t go to the party? he had no body to go with.

dani, laughing: jamie you’re so funny!

jamie, to himself: well, that’s not a fair test, that joke is hilarious!
