I think about this line every single time I think about The Undeserving. Like the moment I think of you I think of The Undeserving and this line is what I think of in literal seconds

It just… it just hits me. Right in the heart and I love it so much

What inspired you to write the fic this way?

Honestly, I don't consciously write in a style very often. There is like one fic that I styled very specifically. Everything else, including The Undeserving, is my "natural" voice.

What scene did you put down first?

The first scene, lol. I almost always write sequentially.

Were there any alternate versions?

Yes actually! I had a few different versions of how Sabine joined the story/Ghost. Initially she literally just stumbled aboard in the middle of an op. Then I realized she would never put herself in that vulnerable a position. It took a few interations until I got the final results, largely because Sabine is difficult for me to write.

It’s so weird to close my “K Raising E” google doc (yes, that’s the title of my The Undeserving working draft). It’s been consistently open on my computer(s) for three years... a permanent fixture among my chrome tabs. 

Now “Daiima AU” is going to replace it. It’ll be interesting to see how long this one stays up.
