I've been playing this game recently. I picked one of the characters on the title screen, and man, what a strange game.

I started in a small crypt. There wasn't much there, so I just left and wandered through the forest for a while until I came across a mountain where the enormous corpse of a giant lay.

I read through the game's manual, and it said that the corpse belonged to a god named Gurvek the Great. I spent a little while there taking in the scenery before turning my attention back to the capital.

Getting there was pretty stressful. There were enemies lurking everywhere. I defeated a few of them, but I ended up rushing through the area.

Eventually I reached The Graveyard. Man, this place is absolutely packed with skeletons. Wish me luck.

Previous Gameplay

Hey everyone! I'm continuing my playthrough in the world of Vermis. I started another new save and managed to make some good progress.

After exploring The Graveyard for a while, I found this sword called Whistling Death. It deals magic damage with every attack, and if I use the R2 attack, it unleashes a much stronger strike that deals double damage. The downside is that it consumes MP.

Not long after, I discovered a hidden passage that led me into the Pauper's Catacombs. Man... this place is incredibly cramped. There are a few enemies scattered around, but nothing too dangerous so far.

The biggest problem is how unbelievably dark it is. I had to search everywhere just to find a torch in that pitch-black darkness. It was a pain, but I finally found one. Now I'm pushing deeper into the catacombs... I can't shake the feeling that something is watching me.

After exploring a little further, I came across this strange statue. It was missing the top half of its head...

...and it had a hole in the center, as if something was meant to be placed there. Maybe the missing part of the head? It's pretty strange, but hey, I finally found my first puzzle.

I searched through the catacombs a bit more, and in one of the nearby rooms I think I found the statue's missing skull. Now I just have to bring it back to where it belongs.

Ah, damn! That scared the hell out of me—I got caught completely off guard!

Looks like that's my first Game Over.

Well... I guess it's time to try again. At least now I know what I'm supposed to do next.

The Vermis 108 (AU) Gameplay LEAKED! PART 2

Previous Gameplay Hey everyone, I started a new save because I want to try out some of the other characters. But don't worry—I still plan on playing through the game with all of them, hehe.

Anyway, after defeating dozens of skeletons and ghosts, I finally made it to a safe spot. Man, Mystique Sonia's Prophet miracles are really good, especially with this Marko Effigy, which slightly boosts miracles while it's equipped. It took me a while to get the hang of the gameplay, as you can probably tell from my HP, but I think I'm making progress.

I ran into this guy here, the Lone Knight. He told me this:

Man, I tried checking the coffin behind him, but he wouldn't let me. Honestly, I'd fight him... but I still haven't found a healing potion. I'll just leave him alone for now. Maybe on another playthrough? I'm really curious to see what loot this knight drops.

I wandered around the area a bit more and fought a few ghosts along the way. Apparently they're immune to physical attacks, but I managed to exorcise those specters using the Sacred Flame. Right now I'm completely out of magic, so I hope I find something to restore it soon—maybe a dagger or some other item.
