Episode 19: The Volcano: Rescue From Whakaari
This week I recap and talk about the Netflix documentary, The Volcano, which documents what was meant to be an ordinary sightseeing tour of New Zealand's Whakaari volcano on December 9, 2019. No one could have imagined the nightmare that erupted.

I love the names you gave some of the legendaries in your tags: the great dragon, the twins. it makes my heart happy :D
omg thank you ^__^ its a personal favorite lore tidbit of mine. triadists traditionally call legends by titles instead of their names -- because if you say their real name, they might just be listening!
the leviathan, kyogre
the volcano, groudon
the great dragon, rayquaza
the twins -- latios, brother dragon, and latias, sister dragon
the eye of wonder -- jirachi wishmaker, and hoopa ringmaster
the gen 3 regis & regigigas -- kings of the north, south, east, and west
rayquaza has ultimate authority over the others, except for the Eye of Wonder. latios and latias have the least authority, not because they are weak, but because they are closest to humanity. rayquaza is their dad. :o)

↓ Festering Anger, Vengeance, Inaction
The Volcano is an avatar of Black Rage that is anchored in love and protection. They alchemize centuries of debilitating anger into a call to action that seeks transformative justice. They are the ancestral flame that scorches violent systems to make room for new life. They hold a bouquet of flame that can light the fires of change, or to release the heaviness that comes with a slow and patient eruption.

Can’t believe I was like, “I’ll be content with one small question about Fjord’s feelings for Jester” and Brian went ahead and asked a question about ALL of it at once.
