i saw a tweet comparing aang in the desert to katara in the southern raiders and how those episodes end up being a parallel of each other with aang and katara swapping roles as they try to be there for the other while theyre blinded by rage and revenge. that shit goes so hard.

Best written scene in the series. Gives me the chills everytime..

There's something just…innately haunting about seeing Aang cry while in the Avatar State and seeing Katara crying with him.....

The fact that they never reused the music that plays during this scene in any other scene despite how amazing it is shows that the animators knew they struck a gold mine with that moment, you hear that music and your mind goes straight back to the first time you watched the scene
