Something For The Weekend?
It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas ! This weekend we are going to buy our tree, a nice big one ! We're going to keep it local, with Tommy's florist on Homerton High St or Growing Concerns near Hackney Wick, just the other side of the park.
We've already made our decorations , if you haven't it's a lovely thing to do together, click here for more details.
If you are more organised here's our edit of what's on around town,
Every Year we go to Christmas at Kew Gardens , it's a beautiful place at any time, but just a little more magical at Christmas !
An absolute MUST is the new Treasures Gallery at the Natural History museum, if we don't see it this weekend , we'll definitely go during the holidays, I can't wait ! It's showing very important pieces from the museums collection, pieces that ( according to NDB) the museum would save if there was a dire emergency.
Each stunning piece is shown with it's full history.
We'll be doing a post on this exhibition , we're so excited!
There are still tickets available for skating at Somerset house, which is lovely with the huge christmas tree and the most delicious cafe Fernandez & Wells. While you are there you could pop in to the Tim Walker exhibition & the Valentino exhibition!
If you feel like a grown up treat, book for sunday brunch at the Wapping Project , from 10- 12.30.It's a former hydraulic power station ( that used to power the curtains of the west end theatres - how glamorous!) so the tables as nestled amongst the machinery!
The food & wine are stunning, it's one of my favourite places to go !
