Just started reading Dawn of the Dog by Janice Koler-Matznick and already she has very reasonably dispensed with the “curious wolf” myth - that a pack of wolves observing a human in the wilderness is not wondering “is this our two-legged brother?” but rather, “is this thing prey or competitor?”

This is something that Bryan Sykes did not do in his book, published only a few years after Koler-Matznick’s. In fact, he seemed to rely on the myth to justify help the science.

Big ol' skip for me! I read most of this one and then skimmed the rest. Wanted it to be something different, too evolutionary science heavy for my brain. A little distractible at times. I didn't want to gain an understanding of how scientists study DNA and whatever...I just wanted to know what the findings were in relation to dogs' evolution.

Not your word by word track as the original. We wanted to have our spin from the original track by putting a rap section in place of the bridge. People will be caught off guard by the existence of a rap and that makes the track stand out.

A stepping stone for the band as we wanted to put something out. There's been talks time and time again saying we should release our debut single and show the world that we're capable of holding it down; even if we're a new and young band.

Lined up to play several shows in August and September whilst having plans to go to the recording studio and record our originals in late October-early November with an early 2020 release date.
