I dunno why, but I’m considering naming Wolfe’s goat child Thyme. Mostly because while I could go with a more clever Time-related name because of the grandfather clock thing, I like to imagine the rest of their original family had cute spice names. For no reason other than it’s cute.

Id like to suggest a clock/time pun/name for the goat kid, to reference the one that got away, if you're stuck on ideas.

Between one person suggesting the Wolf and the Seven Children story and me coming across it in my research, I AM sorely tempted to give Wolfe one more kid. Probably a goat child, since they were the kids in the story.

I don’t have any ideas for them, but Molly would probably appreciate having someone in the group who knows how to help her care for her horns.

Alright, so I did try to look up any more potential fairy tales with wolves, but I think I’ve gotten all the ‘mainstream’ ones. Plus six kids is enough at this point.

Anyway, I’ve been bouncing around ideas for the group today and here’s what I have so far for the Wolfe Pack:

Already established this is some sort of post-apocalyptic world. Might go with zombies, both human and anthropomorphic. The anthro folk can get bitten and infected by anthro zombies but not human zombies. Humans can be infected by both. Which is probably why they’re having a harder time than the anthro folk with staying alive. Not sure if I’ll stick with this idea permanently, but I had it and I thought it was interesting.

Wolfe: Leader of the ‘pack’. Probably has some tragic backstory that inflicted him with a bad case of ‘I am not a father’ syndrome. Yet still ends up with six kids following him around. Go figure. Handsome and rugged. You know my deal by now. Probably just trying to find a safe haven in the middle of this nightmare world.

Akako: Not sure if I’ll go with this name permanently for her, but she’s Little Red. First of the kids to meet Wolfe and send him down the path of fatherhood. Either her grandmother is dead or missing, I haven’t decided yet. Small but definitely not defenseless, and is real scrappy. Think Nikki C/mp Ca/mp in a red cloak. No wonder she latched onto a big bad wolf figure, she’s practically a wolf in everything bit appearances.

The Piglets: Haven’t really developed them as individuals yet, but they’re a trio of admittedly pretty scrappy pig kids as well. Only difference between them and Akako is that they are FAR more violent with it, but also a bit more dense. At least the younger two are. The oldest is a lot more thoughtful and calculating, definitely the brains of the operation.

Or as brainy as one can be at like...nine or ten. For Wolfe and Akako find the three of them stashed in a house by themselves, cowering in toy forts as they try and plot out how they’re going to survive on their own. Probably have pocket knifes, which they definitely used on Wolfe once. Maybe twice.

Bradley: I dunno if I’ll stick with that name for him, but he’s the Boy Who Cried Wolf. Only in this instance, it’s kinda the opposite. He’s a snobby little rich boy who INSISTS that Wolfe and company escort him safely home to his waiting family, with the claims that they were separated due to him being at summer camp when the events of the apocalypse started going down and he was left with no way home.

More likely than not, he’s full of it, but the group lets him tag along regardless because come on, he’s a human and absolutely die in five minutes if left to his own devices. Wolfe’s not a father, but he’s not a monster either.

He’s probably a compulsive liar as well. Probably gonna channel a lot of Kokichi Oma mixed with your stereotypical rich child. Also there’s absolutely no one waiting for him. Not even because the zombies got to them first; they’re GONE gone. He probably knew that they wouldn’t wait for him, or even come for him, but you know...better to lie to himself than to face the truth.

Molly: Baa baa black sheep. Just the SWEETEST little darling, so soft and shy. It’s a miracle she’s survived on her own for as long as she has. Definitely terrified of Wolfe and company at first, but at this point, Wolfe’s probably accepted that he’s somehow adopted a whole family and is like ‘Well I guess one more can’t hurt, especially not one who eats plants. She’ll probably be the easiest to feed.’ She’s also very useful because her wool could be used for clothing. If only they had some kind of spindle or wheel. Maybe I’ll add one in somehow. Anyway, she’s just an absolute baby.

Thinking about my wolf dad OC who adopted both Red Riding Hood and the Three Little Pigs. Decided to also toss in the Boy Who Cried Wolf and potentially put them all in and apocalyptic setting.

Also Wolf Dad's name is Wolfe and I might call them all The Wolfe Pack
