These shoes are really stiff and I feel like they will last me the next 50 years, which is Gr888

The guy in the shop threw in the socks for free because we got chatting and he basically told me the whole history of that style of shoe, that it was what the gamekeepers wore for trapseing over the highlands until it got gentrified and adopted for formal wear, and how its one of the most traditional forms of scottish shoe - and he also showed me how youre supposed to lace them round your ankles (cus I did it wrong when I was trying them on and was like “why is there so much laces left over wtf)

so yeah the shoes have History
