3. rant. just do it
It’s not deep or really all that important, but I’ve been so annoyed by the way EA is running The Sims 4 lately lol
While I love the art style and do enjoy playing it, The Sims 4 has kind of been a lazy money grab since it came out. It was released without features that were standard for Sims base games, like pools and toddlers. Pools were adding pretty quickly, but toddlers weren’t added until 2017, which was THREE YEARS after the game was released. So for three years, babies just turned into kids and it was super creepy lmao
Then the expansion/game/stuff packs are more divided than the past games, as well. They’re still the same price as they were for past games, but we’re getting less features and items in each pack. Like guys, they released a $10 hamster/mouse stuff pack that added stuff that should’ve just been in the $40 pets expansion pack
They also decided to make a money grab Star Wars pack after it ranked LAST PLACE in their community interest survey
Recently they’ve also been under fire for having un-inclusive skin tones and hair, and now, after six years, they’re finally trying to fix it, but they’re not doing too great of a job
I love the Sims series so much, but Sims 4 just continues to be a shitshow lmao
