The swirling of painful, nausea inducing memories interrupts Alpha’s ascent into the heavens. They aren’t all entirely his memories. Some are of young girls and some are of old men, but he doesn’t care who they belonged to as he screams out all their pain, sorrow, happiness. Finally everything goes dark and the horror goes.
The sanctuary of darkness that he had forged allows him to feel at peace, almost as peaceful as the time h—Birds chirp and Alpha slowly blinks in and out of the now receding darkness that flicks at the edges of his vision. All he can taste is the tangy iron of his blood that drips from the corners of his mouth and can only feel the sickening nausea and painful dryness of his strained voice. Slowly standing, Alpha starts his journey in New Columbia.
