Danny stepped out of the shadows behind Max, approaching slowly. He’d been observing this “Overseer” from a distance for a long while, trying to understand what made them tick, but had never been able to figure it out. “What exactly are you, anyway?” he asked. (@the-ghost-face)

Well.. maybe not so much a human.

Imagine a normal young adult who has a thing for fire..

Take him from earth, rip out about 30% of his soul and stuff it with the energy from a twisted god's soul that allow the human to gain demigod like power.. but anytime the Entity dies or removes said power I die.

Course such power doesn't come free so I'm working for the thing that's keeping me and all of you guys here. Watching over you guys making sure things are going as they should.

and that's about my situation summed up fairly well.

She should never have let this happen.

When the new clothes showed up, as they apparently did, for... what, exemplary performance? Sam should have chucked the stupid mess of straps and buckles far far away before anyone else got the chance to see them. But they did.

Look. ....It had been an impulse buy, alright? She was a helpless bi who saw one (1) Hot Girl and got entranced, and those ads had Hot Girl, and it was a trend at the time, and it was the sort of style that meshed with her general punky-grunge thing, looked pretty badass, and there was a set on sale. So... she’d made the decision, at 3am, to buy a body harness. For fashion.

When it had arrived in the mail, she’d made one disastrous attempt to figure out the chest half and failed miserably, and the bottom half was no better. Both got chucked to the back of her closet.

But now, apparently, the Entity had seen fit to re-gift them back. Or, the top half anyway (thank god it wasn’t the whole thing). She’d had an awkward time trying to seem disaffected when the strappy monstrosity had slipped from the bundle onto the ground in front of some fellow survivors. It was a mixed blessing that Kate had been one of the few to see, because while she definitely didn’t judge Sam for it, she was enthusiastic about the new outfit. And Sam trying it on. All together.

And Sam may have had a teeeeensy tiny crush on Kate.

Which was why, now, Sam was awkwardly struggling to get the thing off. She’d had it mostly covered thanks to the cropped sweatshirt that had come so considerately bundled with the rest, but that was less good when the sweatshirt was getting stuck on the criss-cross of buckles around her torso. She had it halfway over her head and was trying to wiggle her arms out of their sleeves to free whatever was caught, face flushing from the effort as much as the embarrassment.

Well, she wasn’t about to argue with that thought. It was most definitely true. But hey; at least she was alone. Far enough from camp that no one else had to witness her straight up cartoonish display of ineptitude.

“Fuckin’ Christ,” Sam muttered, peeking at the ground from under the hem of her sweatshirt-turned-straightjacket and wandering until her brand new (but still old; they’d been thrifted when she got them) yellow Chucks found roots and she could lean back against a tree for a bit of resistance to help her pull the thing off.

Jude turns when he hears a familiar voice, looking over to the ghostfaced killer. He crosses his arms over his chest, almost seeming annoyed. “Are you always lurking around here or is this a special visit?” He asks, eyes moving to the knife before falling back on the mask. “Suppose it’s nice.. Kinda small, ain’t it?” The survivor smiles, obviously trying to tease the killer.
