9 and 39 :)
9. Describe what happened when an unusual fronter had a day in the limelight.
The most recent unusual fronter was a few months ago - they were angry and hurt, and their catchcry was “you’re not the boss of me”. They spent money that was already allocated for rent, on take-out, they made sure we didn’t go to church, and refused to do any chores at all. It was a nightmare for continuity who was trying to keep the financial books balanced, and keep everyone in a state of safety and happiness. Lots of stress, and anger which is really scary for a lot of us.When we able to find our way to comforting them and respecting them they didn’t know what to do and head back inside. I miss them because while they were out we didn’t get night sweats and were able to sleep through the night. I miss that.
39. What’s something you’ve managed to create as a team?
This is going to sound cheesy, but what we’ve managed to do as a team is create a home we feel safe in, with touches of something for everyone around. We’ve all worked hard to make it safe and comfy and beautiful. The kids have a toy corner, there are crocheted blankets to snuggle in, and a bed on the desk for the cats to sleep on and keep us company. It’s still an ongoing project because no-one likes the kitchen or kitchen duties, but we’re working on it.
The other thing we’ve managed to do as a team, is to make sure the cats are fed and looked after - everyone loves them, and wants them to do well. No matter who is out first thing, they get fed, no matter who is out at dinner time, they get fed. It’s one of the things that gets passed on as well - so there’s no overfeeding. (Although Smudgie is a BIG boy).

22. Which part in the system are you most similar to? Do you get along well?Hm. Lottie I guess? We’re both cheerful sunshine-and-flowers people, who struggle to recognize or acknowledge the Bad in life. And we get along quite well! She’s the social alter, so she either fronts or co-fronts while we’re in social situations and it helps a lot with my social anxiety. I don’t think we’ve ever had any conflict.
31. How do you feel about your child parts?I love them and would do pretty much anything to protect them. They can make things like getting to sleep or dealing with authority figures difficult at times, which can lead to a little exasperation on my part, but I love them! And I know they’re doing their best, they’re just Small and Scared.

what are your alters dream jobs?
This one is...surprisingly difficult for me to answer, and I think it always has been.
I guess first off I should say that we work in healthcare (or we will, once we get hired.) We have a license in the Radiography field, to be more specific. But the reasons why we ended up here are...not because any of us had a dream to pursue medical imaging.
Jobs are strange concepts to us. Growing up, there were a lot of careers we were nudged toward--be an artist, an author, a therapist, a composer, a music therapist, a welder, a programmer, a zookeeper. Dozens of potential careers based on our interests and talents.
Looking back, I feel like none of those things would suit us outside of hobbies because some parts connect to them, and some don’t.
Razael would be an effective therapist, but Abel would probably cause clients to leave the room in tears.
Moss would thrive as a zookeeper, but Scholar would be horrified by the daily drudgery of shoveling dung.
Tristan loved our brief experience with welding, but most of us found it too physically taxing.
And so on, and so forth. And we’ve always been aware enough to know that “sometimes I’m into this, and sometimes I’m not.” Not really something to build a career on.
So our dream job is a collective ideal. It’s something that challenges us to problem solve, something that makes us feel fulfilled, and something we can all agree is a productive use of our time. None of us dream about medical imaging, and I wouldn’t say any of us are passionate about it. But we’re good at it, and it pays well, and at the end of the day we get to come home and do the things we individually enjoy.
Sorry, this got way longer than I expected! But thank you for giving me the opportunity to talk about jobs/career stuff, it’s something that’s been on my mind for a long time now. ♥
1, 5 and 11 Also, happy birthday!🎈I hope you're having a lovely day 💙
Thank you, lovely~ ♥ So far the birthday has been low-key but productive, which is honestly my preference!
1. What is one thing you wish everyone understood about DID?
I did answer this one earlier but! I want to add that I wish everyone understood that, although I don’t want to dig into the gritty details about what parts cause what, the bottom line is that our capabilities, attitude, and opinions about things can change hard and fast and that’s just part of the disorder. It’s very tiring to explain that something I was amped up about an hour ago now seems daunting and terrible!
5. Has any conventional advice for DID ever not worked for you (journaling is unhelpful, can’t visualize an inner world, etc)?
So it took us a long, long time to figure out how to make journaling work for us. Physical journals were unacceptable (too paranoid), and anything digital often got purged for one reason or another. For a long time I would have said journaling “doesn’t work” for us. But we started weaving out “journaling” into stories instead--writing scenarios between parts where they get to express themselves or say their piece. Writing out our thoughts privately tends to get deleted still, but the stories stay.
11. Does anyone wish they could make big changes to your body’s appearance?
This is a strange question for us because while we all view ourselves fairly differently, we also claim the same sort of...benign detachment to our body. We almost treat it like it’s another part--something to take care of, but something we ultimately view as “not me.” It’s a vehicle, and the vehicle is fine. Not something we’re attached to enough to want to make big changes to it.
Thank you for the asks!

Congratulations on passing the exam, this so awesome!!! I'm really happy for you 💜💜 - Thorn Girl
Thank you, love. 🥰
We woke up smiling today, and feel ready to take on the world. Didn't realize how much it was crushing us because we got used to the weight, but now that it's gone? Feels like we can do anything.
I wish there was some way to package this feeling and send it to y'all as well. ❤️
