Steven was used to waking up in strange places at this point - his sleeping disorder made it hard to predict when or where he would wake up, and on multiple occasions he had found himself waking up in a completely different area of London.
This, though... this was a first.
The last thing Steven remembered was listening to an audiobook as he laid in bed, and then...
“What?” He looked around as he came back to himself, taking everything in around him. It was day time, alright... but... where was this? None of these buildings looked familiar, and the cars were... on the wrong side of the road? A sinking feeling quickly came to Steven’s stomach, and he looked around anxiously. No... no, no, no. There was no way he could just wake up in a different country, right? This had to be a dream... right?!
To everyone else around him, all that could be seen was a man who had been walking, stopping, and then looking more than a little concerned as he took in his surroundings. Steven quickly moved off to the side as he realized he was blocking the sidewalk, apologizing politely to an elderly lady who had tried to pass him.
