I just learned that my disability check will stop coming in and I need to pay rent in a few days, I have 5 spots opened for commission, I can do a full body flat color like these for 60€ (In reality I need more than 300 but I can't do more than 5 at the same time, I don't want to make people wait too long, more will open eventually because I'm always open for commission)

She had been in exceptionally good form today, making more of a point to listen closely before acting on anything. It was still a work in progress, and more than a few times Charlie had to remind herself to take in a deep breath and not try to ‘do extra’. Or complete sentences before people finish. Or run off before they do. Or try to making improvments with only half an idea on what even to do at all.

The Vee Incident, as it was privately being come to known, was fairly eye-opening about how her behavior affected others… and with some already, it might be too late to try and make amends.

The least she could do was try to appreciate the ones present and show by action that she was improving on it. She didn’t want him to feel unappreciated and stressed enough to quit again.

“Truuue…” Hm. The flour was being stubborn about coming off. While the apron helped keep most of the cooking carnage out of the way, everything else around it got dusted. And if the princess was focusing on cleaning off the red fabric so she wouldn’t stare too much at the visible banadages, then she could only hope it wasn’t blatantly obvious. Charlie takes to waiting by the sink for her turn next with a little cloth, intending on wetting it to pat away all white powder.

“She does really like to help, in her own way. It wouldn’t be fair to keep all the fun to ourselves, would it? Though, maybe we could do this again sometime. Cooking co-chefs!”

Alastor was leaned against the kitchen counter, watching the woman as she spoke, a soft hum leaving him, in rythm with the music in the background while he waited for her to be done talking.

"Well now, I wouldn't want you to take away my job in the hotel, my dear" he teased her. "Surely you are already doing enough, I was just asking for help until I felt a bit better, those injuries are quite disabling." And he was still kind of salty about the fact that she hasn't really helped him much when he had been injured, so he was being a bit petty by wanting her to help him. Although she seemed to enjoy the 'punishment' more than anything. Oh well.

"Let's just do it together, Niffty will probably start chasing bugs mid-way through." he hummed, taking the simmering pot off of the fire and bringing it to the table.

Alastor wasn't one to ask for help often, however his chest and injured arm both made it really difficult to work properly in the kitchen today, they were particularly sore, so for once he agreed to let Charlie help him.

She did surprise him in how efficient she was, she listened to his orders and advices, didn't ask too many questions so he could focus, and she also let him play some Jazz while they cooked, it was... nice.

"I'm sure we can set the table together without any issue my dear, or I can ask Niffty to do it, the little bug always enjoy following orders" he hummed, washing his hands. He was wearing an apron and his hair were tied in a pony tail, the lack of jacket, to avoid getting his sleeves dirty, made his tail and, mostly his bandaged arm, rather obvious.

He wasn't one to show his injuries so openly usually, but he did not consider Charlie a threat, so he thought it would be better than risking to mess up his jacket.
